Does the 1973.5T have a Thermotime Switch?

Does anyone know if the 1973.5T/CIS uses a thermotime switch? If so, do you know where it is located?

Thanks

Bob

I am trying to get an answer without pulling the muffler off and photographing the left side of the chain cover!

Someone has had experience with this before who ventures to this board.

Bob:
Why would you pull the muffler off?
The picture is taken from the top, no big deal.
Open the lid and peek into the area of the left chain cover.
Take a picture of the left chain cover from the top so we can tell what's there.

No photo capibility!

This is indeed frustrating.............If I look at the chain cover to the left from the top and see the wires coming from a screwed in fitting, I betcha thats a thermotime switch. BUT, I do not have my 1973.5T sitting at the office parking lot right now, so hence the question today to my fellow Pelicanheads.

Obviously Gunter you have no clue if the 73.5T uses a thermotime switch without a photo of the chain cover, so that makes it a mystery for both of us right now. Appreciate the support however.

Bob:
Finally.
So, you see a plug with wires on the left chain cover; that should be the TTS.
I do have extensive knowledge of K-Jetronic CIS and like others have told you, the '73.5 should have one but some say not.
People can only help you if you participate.
Who knows what was done to your wiring or what your set-up is?
I hope you can read the electrical schematic for your year and are able to trace wiring; I wish you good luck.

Gunter...

Jump over to the other thread on the thermotime switch. I appears that my year (1973.5T) was by-passed on the switch or that is the concensus thus far.

My 1973.5 does not have a thermo time switch. The only electrical connections are to the startup injector and the WUR. You use the hand throttle to adjust the throttle plate during warmup.
