Newish member ...

I have lurked for a while and thought I'd better introduce myself and my car.

She's a 1977 911S with a 2.7. They are Carrera 3.2 rear guards. There's some suspension work and the wheels are 16 x 7's and 8's. The colour is VW Jazz Blue.

I live in Melbourne, Australia. At 41 I'm still a lawyer as I dont have any other life skills.

As you can see, the old dear has been pushed outside so that my boys can play in the new toy in the garage.

I have developed a mild addiction to reading this forum and have started ordering parts ...

Regards,

Steve

Welcome! Great car and kids too! You Aussies have the nicest weather and all the nice blue 911's! You should do a search for "fishcop" he has a beauty as well.

VERY nice color & nice car. I especially like how the wheels look with that blue.

Best of luck & enjoy!

Love that color! Sorry you're still a lawyer. Maybe their will be an opening at Outback Steakhouse!

Wow, what color is that? Looks non-metallic.

Welcome!

carson911s 02-20-2008 07:39 PM

Thanks very much for the welcome guys.

Ulrich, the colour is not metallic. Just a very bright and deep blue a little like French Blue a la Bugatti.

I bought the car from my mechanic, Mike Jacobson and his wife Lisa from Spyder Automobiles in Melbourne. He and Lisa's father, the late John Gregory, put it together after it was converted to RHD from a USA import.

The other extras listed by Mike are as follows:-

Factory options:
adjustable intermittent wipers
L and R rear view mirrors
sunroof
Factory short gearshift
Front mount oil cooler

Additions:
Matched set of 7" and 8" x 16" Fuchs wheels
3.2 Carrera rear flares
3.2 Carrera spring plate covers
revalved Koni red rear shockers
revalved Koni Sport externally adjustable front strut inserts
Harness bar
Spyder strut brace with diagonal supports
through body front sway bar
18mm rear sway bar
3.0L Turbo steering wheel
turbo tie rods
passive 3 point immobiliser
anti-dive front suspension geometry
green cotton air cleaner element

I love it. Standing on the gas in third is true on the spot fine and loss of licence material.

As for a career change, I don't think we have an "Outback Steakhouse" here in Oz. It is too dangerous in the outback due to herds of violent kangaroos and crocodiles that roam there so none of us Australians actually dare leave the cities to venture into the wild.

Beautiful car! I believe it's Jazz Blue (a VW color). The metallic paint in this color is Nogaro Blue (Audi color).
