Carrere 3.2 Guards Red

I am a little confused about the red paint on the '84 to '89 Carreras. The Red Book lists Guards Red but the Last of the Evolution book says none of these cars are Guards Red but are Indian Red. My '87 is "Indischrot" 80K which is Indian Red. A number of the cars for sale claim Guards Red. Does anyone have a real Guards Red Carrera 3.2?

I have the orignal paperwork, window sticker, it's says Guard Red. But everytime I get paint the guy says, "Indian Red"? And it matches.

I have run into the same situation myself. They are the same.

Thanks for the replies. I have none of the original documentation. I was going by the paint sticker at the right front of the luggage compartment. On your cars does that say Guards Red (in German of course)?
