EuroProducts Chip.........Still in Business?

The OP told me when he got the car (1995) he had a factory performance exhaust, K&N with drilled box and a chip put in.

I just pulled the DME and it has a Europroducts Chip 911021.KRT 911 '84-'87 wih handwritten 3210 and handwritten +20 on it.

My car has a very bouncy idle when cold and has very limited pull both in low rpm and midrange. It also does not willingly rev to high rpms. These are all things that a chip should correct, no?

Car was just fully tuned and valves adjusted (only 4 exhaust were slightly out of spec), so I have to attribute the lack of performance to the crappy chip.

I searched in this forum and all posts about the Europroducts chip are very old. I then tried to find them online and it appears they are no longer in business (unless my Google-Fu is weak).

I will be calling Steve Wong and getting a new chip, but would like to know if anyone still has a Europroducts one and what they think of it.

What does the +20 mean?
3210?

Thoughts?

I can't help you on whether Europroducts exist any more but I will say that your car should run better than that. It may be the chip. I would consider swapping chips with a known good one (know someone that has the same year car?) and see whether it resolves your issues. If the other chip fixes your problems, then Steve Wong Chips found here is all you need to know.

This sounds more like the CHT is not working properly and doesn't richen up the mixture when the engine is cold.

The 20+ better not means timing advance. That would be way too much and dangerous for the engine.

Cheers,
Ingo

CHT?

And, I have no idea what the +20 means. I do know that this chip was a low end product 15 years ago when it was put in. It is being ditched and I am awaiting a new one from SW.
