For the Pelican heads in MI, I came across this wire-feed welder. It is a Hobart 300AMP, already set-up on cart with the bottle platform. It looks like it could be a hell-uv-a-deal, for Pelicans that are in the Whitehall, MI. area, $199.00, local pick-up only. It appears to have some really nice options. If it was not so far away from me, I believe that I would buy it, but... it is just toooooo far to travel to get it. I know this brand and model, and I know that it will weld just about anything you feel like welding. It would make a great Christmas Present for yourself, and you can't beat the price, being all of the other options that come with it. I hope that someone here snatches it up at this LOW-LOW price. I am just P-O'd that it is just too far to justify the expense in order for me to snatch it up. I believe that it will make someone a great shop mig! It is just something that I came across checking eBay. But it and you will finally know just how many friends that you have. Don't let this one pass you by. Good luck to the people that are needing one. Good luck with it!! Tony.

It is a good deal, but it's 3 phase so most of us diy's will not have the power to run it.

Milt, mb911: both good points.. on that note, what would you recommend for panels, exhaust work etc..? Brands, specs, what to look for .. etc?
I weld, have used different equipment in various shops.. but never researched the features, brands and specs. Thanx P-

Yep, I knew it was a heavy duty welder. I already have a really nice mig in my shop that I can weld just about anything I need to. Just thought some here might be interested in a large unit, for whatever. Tony.

I purchased a Hobart 140 and it's been absolutely great. Best tool I've purchased in a long time.
I think out the door I was around 480$ then another 70 for gas. Jon W. |
