Went on a drive not realizing snow would be at the destination. Found a great snow/ice parking lot to get a little crazy in.

I’ll see your snow Porsche, and raise you 20

I’ll see your snow Porsche, and raise you 20. This is the staging area at Norquay ski resort for Treffen Banff in September 2018. We had an unseasonably early snowfall and had to cancel at least one of the tours to the icefields Parkway because the snow was a foot and a half deep. That’s my 993 in the foreground.

Cool Video

Not me or mine (I wish - the car or $$$ to just do so...) and possibly a re-post - but super cool video of a rally 911SC getting it on a snow covered track & snowy gravel roads.

Enjoy:

It seems winter is back in full swing with many parts of the country getting lots of snow already. Have you taken your Porsche out for some fun? or is it sleeping for the winter? Post pictures and show us what it's like where you are!

This is about as close as she gets to snow. Too much salt on the roads.

Not a chance in hell, mine is going to see snow..ever!
A typical Danish winter from November to March/April: Frost-thaw, frost-thaw, frost-thaw... combined with salt spreaders that's "Commission paid"
An average consumption per winter (only!) on state roads, in little Denmark... 60,000 tonnes.
This corresponds to 125kg per registered car!
Again, only on state roads... The figure is much higher if you count all smaller roads as well.. Pure slaughter house for cars, not to mention old cars!!

How about two Speedsters, probably early 1960s, ice racing on frozen lakes in the Pocono Mtns of Pennsylvania. My uncle is in the foreground. I can’t imagine the waiver or the insurance rider we’d need to do something like that these days with the current value of those cars!
