Front hood interchangeable?

I've got a good deal on a front hood from a 912 (shorthood)

Are they identical to the 911 items?

TIA

Yes, it will work--same body sheet metal for 911 and 912. I see in your signature that you have a shorthood car and you did mention it was the short hood 912, correct? That could only be the 912E from 1976 unless someone had converted a longhood into a shorthood.

If your installing on long hood per ossi it will work fine, the only difference is UNDER the hood like light's, texture.

Thanks guys,

I thought they would be the same, just wanted confirmation.
My car is an '86 so also a shorthood.
The one I'm buying now is 75 € ('bout 100 USD), I'll be keeping it as a spare.

Your buying it as a spare for your 86 only a 76 912 hood will fit. I think you got it straight.
