brake pad manufacturer(s)?

I just received an order from Pelican, including new front pads. I'd ordered Metal Masters, and it's a Textar box. Pelican's sticker does say Metal Master, but also has the part # PEL-D112P, which in their catalogue is Pagid. I'm assuming they're correct, that's not the issue. I'm just curious, are they all made by Textar?

Weird. I ordered Metal Masters recently and they came in a box marked PBR (made in Australia). The last box of MMs I ordered also came in a PBR box. Both boxes had a Pelican sticker on them that said Metal Master.

I also use Australian PBR (formerly Axxis) Metal Masters and they always come in a PBR box.

As far as I know Pagid and Textar are separate companies. It looks like someone made a mistake with ordering or packaging or a mis-handled return - something is wrong.

It also appears the Pagid #PEL-D112P pads are for an aluminum "S" caliper so they may not even fit.

I'd call Pelican and get the right pads (at least find out if the D112P's will fit your calipers).

The last set I bought also came in a PBR box.

I do have aluminum S calipers on the front, to clarify.

Just talked to Glen at Pelican, he wasn't too sure, suggested that maybe Textar bought Metal Master or something. He suggested the same thing, see if they fit. On visual examination, they look the same, but I'll have to see when I get in there. Hoping to do so tonight.

How do the Textars compare to Metal Masters?
