Lets' see:

3.2L Carrera: Pretty much still locked into emissions everywhere, but they can feel like ricers with their "chip upgrades".

3.0L SC: Pretty much emission exempt everywhere, so they can do some REAL mods to their engines.

Yeah, I can see where this competition is going

Absolutely! You had lots of engine options when you were doing the transplant, and the very fact that you chose a 3.2L, over say... an SC engine, demonstrates an immense innate intelligence and a deep understanding of all things Porsche. :-)
