Wiring in doors question

I have gutted my doors in my '86 Carrera in its transformation to a race car: no windows or electronics (although I kept the door handle and latch). I either disconnected or cut all of the wires to all of the motors, etc. inside the doors. I would like to pull the wires out.

I can see where a number of wires come from the front trunk near the passenger door then disappear into about a 2" wide hole and go into the area where the door is hinged to the body. Without removing the door (which I would prefer not to do) I can't see where the wires run between when the leave the trunk and before they go into the door.

My question is this: Are there any wires running through that area that go to anything other then door components? Basically, I want to know if I just start yanking wires from the trunk side, are there wires I don't want to be pulling out because they go to something other than door parts?

in and out of the door you have 2/4 speaker wires 1 ground 1 power door lock 1 pass door lock, power and ground to the window and maybe a line for heated mirrors if so equipped. that should be it most of those run down to the fuse panel but th speaker wires run in and up to the dash. hope this helps. you should watch cutting them if fuses are still in tact as you will short it out.

Thanks. I am not worried about anything like speaker wires (given that I have no speakers) or anything running to the door (since the doors are now just empty shells).

Are there any important wires that run out of that small hole near the back of the trunk beneath the passenger side A pillar that I am going to regret pulling out if I just start yanking?

Make sure you're not just yanking HOT wires (as mentioned by previous poster)...ID these wires from the Bentley,..then measure them to ensure they're not hot! The yank away....

Best,

Doyle
