Got that old feeling again - need help deciding on a '92 Carrera

It's been over a year since I sold my '77 Targa and I've been thinking about finding that mythical good buy on a '993. Now I've run across a '92 Cab in superb shape with 79K miles and I'm tempted.

However I know next to nothing about the Carrera era cars. And I really didn't want a Cab. However I need a Tiptronic car for physical reasons and this one has it all. At 79K miles the used car dealer is asking around $17K.

I'm sure there are tons of threads out there regarding pros and cons of this model vs. waiting for the right 993. If anyone can point me to one I'd appreciate it. Any other opinions on price and potential problem areas would also be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

I too have been doing some research in this genre. Search 964/993 through the two forums and you will probably find some comparisons and suggestions.

A site I found... John's 964 Web

Hope this helps and good luck!

Mat

p.s. the price sounds right.
