Variations on the Fuchs wheel
I wonder if anyone out there can help me with the answer to what is hopefully a simple question.
Obviously there is the Fuchs alloy wheel so beloved by enthusiasts of early Porsches. There is also what I have recently learnt is called the "cookie cutter" wheel. However, there is a third type of wheel that I'm particularly interested in. I've seen it on photos of several early 911s. They look great. In my opinion still very 'art and designy' in the same manner of the classic Fuchs, but maybe with a greater sense of aggression and power behind them. Controversial I know!! Does anyone know: How common are they? Are they exclusive to Porsche? Are they a variation of the Fuchs? Are they still made? Have they a name?

Not a Fuch. I think they are called Torque Thrust. I think American racing still makes them. Good looking wheel on many early cars, not just 911's.

As others have said not just Porsche exclusive made for most makes. I have a set of 14"s for my Chevelle..They changed styles a little through out the years. center cap mounting and spoke profiles changed some..

I you search `Torque thrust` on the 911 parts classified, you can see they come up for sale occasionally.
