3 day tix are about $75 at the gate. The coral will bbe open from Thursday on, and is at the BEST spot on the whole track for access in and out, and walking to different vantage points. They have covered and uncovered seating. HD TV of the race, cold water, and many friendly folks.
Platz parking is only $25, but you gotta call 800-849-7223 to get it. This is about the 5th trip over for my 914. Friday is a great day. Low crowds, teams hard at work, PCA touring laps. Can't get much better, except then the race starts the next day and... |

My son and I will be there on Saturday. We will be parking in the Porsche platz. I'll either be driving the SC or the 914/GT clone. And repeat after me......no rain.....no rain.....no rain.

I'll be there, Friday & Sat. The 911 needs a clutch and a top end
...so I will be Porscheless. I will be at the Porscheplatz mostly. I think I will put a Pelican sticker on my hat with my screen name "aj88cab", so say "hi" if you see me.

I'm scheduled to work registration at the Platz on Friday and Saturday morning. Weather looks to be fantastic. Can't wait to see the GT3R-H on the track.

Looks to be no rain in sight....
I saw the GT3-R at Le Mans this year, running exhibition laps, so I thought it only fitting to visit it at Petit!

Hope some of you out of towners can stay for the cars and coffee Sunday morning at the Avenues of East Cobb....another event that should not be missed if you are in town.

glad to know some folks from this area will be in town. I figured since I did the Potomac Club Race last year, I'd visit Petit this go-round.

I'm just back from Road Atlanta for the day - luckily I had a friend who saved some space for an extra tent - set it up today and will spend the night tomorrow. Will be with ruby911 and Craig356.
The place is already packed! By far the most attendance that ever seen and it's only Thursday! It rained all last night and most of the day today - a lot of nice slick red clay - ring any bells for anyone? The forecast is for a great dry weekend. The Porscheplatz already had a lot of cars parked in it - I wasn't in mine as I hate trying to get that red stuff off.

I'll be in my Silver 85 Euro
I still have some Pelican name tags to put on our cars that I printed up for use at the Avenues. That way we know who's car is who's - If you want one, come by the car, they will be on the seat. Tom

Yeah.. so about a week ago now! The Petit was a blast, the Platz was very cool.. and it's freaking amazing how much faster the LMP cars are over the GT classes. You could really see the difference in speed on the straights and on uphills.. its rare to see a 911 based car seem.. well, slow!!

Thanks for the nice pics.
The speed difference was interesting - The LMP cars started to lap the field on the 3rd lap!

I threw up some of my pics on a new thread.
I was up on spectator hill for a while-saw the Hybrid in a 3 wide drag race with the 44 Lizard car and an LMPC car-it absolutely blew the doors of both with the front motors lit up. Hybrid technology will be interesting. |
