Bay Area Saturday Drive
I have not seen anyone for a long time. Any interest in setting up a meet/drive this weekend after the madness of Thanksgiving?

How about Sunday, winding up over at LeMans Karting for a little racing fun? Weather looks cool but dry...

Sunday it is. If it says Porsche on it, it can join.

Yeah, this sounds like fun. Coming from the South Bay. My car says Porsche on it, too.

Let's meet at the corner of Canada road and I-92 along side the Crystal Spring Reservoir, almost next to the I-280 freeway in San mateo, at 8:30AM Sunday morning.
Then we head south on Canada road, West on Woodside road, over to Highway 1, North on Highway 1 to Half-Moon bay and stop at a Starbucks for coffee and donuts. Then, people can go no north of Highway 1 to the City, and those with less time can break off and leave.

Heat? It was 75 degrees in Half Moon Bay today. My car has no heat either. Just wear a sweater if it cools off. I hope I can make it.

after meeting at canada rd and 92, how about heading west on 92, south on skyline to alices rest. where there are several cars and motorcycles gathering there. then west on 84 to the coast. i havent been on canada, but it looks straight and boring. just a suggestion. i'll try and make it out.

Highway 92 west to 35 is a good idea. Canada Road to Woodside Road is straight and slow, and the 3-mile stretch of 84 from Woodside to Skyline (at Alice's) is almost sure to have slow cars on it. Skyline has fewer cars, and the climb from 92 to King's Mountain is awesome.
And when you turn north on 1 at San Gregorio, take Stage Road north to 1. Don't take 84 all the way to 1. Stage Road is about a mile long, but has three great hairpins.

Stop fronting.

I drive some variation of those roads pretty much every weekend in one or the other of my '72's (the 914 and the 911). I have been in the Bay Area for just over a year and a half (moved from SoCal) and have not met any local Pelicans, or any local PCA folks, etc. so this sounds like a fun little gathering. Hope to see you all soon.
