Well here she is -

My new project/track car in the making.

1974 non sunroof coupe - Turbo metal flares. Some suspension work, rebuilt 2.7 and 915. She has not been driven much - PPI showed some odds and ends - no rust. Future plans include RSR bumpers and a 3.6 or 3.8

Love that Mexico Blue!

I like that one Jeremy, were the beer coolers standard? :-)

Is the Diamond Blue Doll gone aready?

JeremyD 03-03-2010 01:08 PM

Boxes of "extras" I don't know even what's in them yet... :)

Very nice, and nice neighborhood too. Send some of that warm FL sunshine up here for me please. Oh, and that wimpy tailpipe has to go.

Sweet! You did good! That's going to make one hell of a track rat if you invest the same amount of effort you put into the Cab. Good luck with it.

DanielDudley 03-03-2010 01:21 PM

That is a perfect candidate.

JeremyD 03-03-2010 01:48 PM

Thanks - a little different from the cab - and hasn't been driven much at all in the past 2 years - so lots of little details that need to be fixed/sorted.

76911 03-03-2010 01:56 PM

now that is nice, any mods done to the motor when rebuilt?

ShakinJoe 03-03-2010 01:59 PM

Track Rat, Track Rat, Track Rat!! We do a 3.6 project this next winter together!

you may have gotten something really good in them

like beer ...........

JeremyD 03-03-2010 02:05 PM

Yes the cab went to Philadelphia end of January.

Elombard 03-03-2010 02:07 PM

Great color!

Yah RSR bumpers - lose the lower valance cover, early mirror it will look amazing and weigh MUCH less.

17" RSR frosted fuchs and you are all set (maybe go back to chrome window trim....not a priority).

Is it running carbs or still the CIS?

JeremyD 03-03-2010 02:09 PM

Motor built to 'euro' specs. Whatever that means. Showed good compession and leakdown and intact headstuds when they pulled the valve covers

JeremyD 03-03-2010 02:11 PM

Cis. Frosted 17 Fuchs on the way

Buckterrier 03-03-2010 02:52 PM

Congrats Jeremy. A 3.6 will be sweet in her. Nice color and nice wheels.

I remember seeing this car in FS. It seemed a little overpriced, but a nice car nonetheless.

I'd keep the engine and lighten it as much as possible.

w21055 03-03-2010 05:25 PM

Sweet, love the coupe

URY914 03-03-2010 05:31 PM

Very nice. Have fun.

kiwiokie 03-03-2010 06:07 PM

That looks like a car I almost bought back in 2008. It was for sale on Craigs List in Taos, NM. Steel turbo flares but original 2.7 CIS engine, 3 original fuchs and one replica, unusual grey woolly carpet? If so the story was that the guy owned a body shop and did the flares himself. Looked to be very nicely done. He also painted the car and had the engine rebuilt but had no receipts for the work done. Around the time it was finished in 1995 he had a change in circumstance that required the car to be put in storage which is where it sat until mid-2008. I still have the e-mail correspondence if this is indeed the same car and you want to learn a little more about it. Cheers, John
