What color is my carpet?

I'm in the process of completely restoring a '72 911 E. Need new carpet so I ordered the Saddle color cut pile from Pelican, as that looked like the closest match.

The color looks right but the trim is too light. Here is a pic.

Is my old carpet actually brown?

Looks a good match but the original has the german square weave so the optic is different. The original trim looks like Cocoa

Your original carpet looks like the original in my 73.5, which is brown Haargarn or Feintuft Velour on the Pelican site. Mine is so faded it was hard to tell until I looked at a part than had been covered. It went with tan vinyl seats and door panels. Your new piece looks like a close color match except, as you say, for the trim. The color swatches on the computer don't really show the brown in its true shade, IMO.
