Cover plate for dash ventilation controls?

I've searched around and haven't found any cover plates to replace the ventilation controls on the dash of a 911. Track car, so all this is now long gone. Would like to find a nice metal piece to fill the hole and use it for the Tilton bias knob and other switches. Our host offers a plate for the radio hole, anyone make one for the other big hole in the dash?

I replaced my whole lower dash with this piece from Rennline. It looks nice in black.

Honestly, if there was a factory blockoff plate and it was anywhere near the quality of the radio delete plate, I'd run far from it. I have one of the factory radio plates and it SUCKS (ZERO offense to our host, it's not his part). It simply doesn't fit well at all. I have my A/C controls and a clock in the plate, and the wiring is what's holding the whole thing together.

Maybe this winter I'll make one out of thin aluminum plate. There's plenty of metal in the dash that can be cleanly overlapped, where some threaded holes can be tapped and nice shiny bolts used to hold the plate securely (tiny stuff, like #4 thread). I bet the HVAC controls have as much metal around them to do the same thing.

Take the radio delete plug and make one out of the same material. 5 minutes on a table saw with the right blade and you should be all set. Just a simple rectangle and smoothing some corners edges etc.

That was my plan anyway - just have not gotten around to doing it.
