Anybody in/near Buena Vista, CO?

Hi -

Just wondering if anyone here is in or near Buena Vista, CO that could verify a Porsche part I found for sale. I know it's kind of in the middle of nowhere on map, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Just trying to do some due diligence.

Thanks,
Tom

Bump for some help in CO.?

Can anyone provide a reference for an engine builder named Rodger Barris in Nathrope, Colorado? I'm looking (long distance) at an engine that is said to be rebuilt by him.

Having been scammed in the past trying to buy an engine long distance, I am attempting to do enough due diligence to not get scammed again!

Thanks for the help,
Tom

Are you looking at the 3.2 for $10k that was on CL? My buddy was interested but when talking to the seller, he could not "put all of the pieces toghehter" so he decided to pass. On paper, it looks good but he was unwilling to take a chance. Can't help on info on the builder.....sorry.

Yes, that's the one. I've been emailing w/the seller who's answered all my questions, but I'd like to be able to have some sort of third party verification. I was scammed last winter on an engine and don't want to relive that nightmare again.

Thanks,
Tom

Wish I could be of more help Tom. If it is what he says and was put together correctly, its a good price for a nice engine. It looked as if it had headers on it....with a chip from Steve W, that thing ought to give you 250hp.

Good luck.

Just a quick update and FYI to others who might be looking at this engine. The seller has told me that it was actually rebuilt by Motor Meister, not the fellow he lists in his add.

There you have it.

Tom
