Need a PPI in Houston

Well, I think that I've found a 996 that I'm interested in buying. Unfortunately, I am in Chicago and the car is in Houston. Does anyone know of an independent shop that can do a reliable PPI for me in Houston? The car is located near Hwy 59 and Interstate 610 in Houston - west side of town.

It's a low mileage car, so it shouldn't be too big a deal, but I wouldn't buy a car without someone doing a detailed look-see.

thanks in advance

larry

Is at SC Sales and Repair on Star? They are at 59 and 610. SC is a great repair and sales shop. I used them for a dozen years before moving to the Texas Hill country. Still send both daughters there for car work. If it is not there then use them for the PPI. They do a lot of dealer work so ask first if they worked on the car. Cliff, Tim and Terry are stand up guys. Cliff's owned about 3 dozen 911's. Sealy is a great shop but about 50 miles from 59 and 610.

The best hands down in Houston is Protechnik. http://protechnik.com/

They provide track side support for PCA events and know their stuff. Ive been to Eurocarwerk and many others and no one touches protechnik.

Thanks

they will treat you very well. They do PPI's all day long. When I called Eurocarwerk, SC Sales, European Auto Techniks, and three other shops about a corner balance and alignment... Protechnik is the only one who would do it. All of their people were top notch. The owner even drove me to work and it wasnt right around the corner. It was a good 30 minute drive... Seems crazy, but all the other shops said they focused routine service and couldnt tie up their alignment rank for 1/2 a day... Not the types I want working on my car. Protechnik also had several engines in mid rebuild and their shop was clean. My PPI was done by Eurocarwerk and while they seemed good ( i liked Eric), they missed rusted out Heat exchangers and topped off my car with Castrol GTX... go figure... I do 90% of things myself... but for what I cant, id take it to Protechnik...
