Question Checking Oil....Is this normal?

After driving the car for about an hour today (the rain finally stopped here!). I got home and decided I better check the oil level. With the car running ofcourse, I open the Yellow cap, and when I did, I noticed the car started to idle a little more rough/lower?! Oil level was perfect, but should I be concerned or is this normal? I was thinking maybe it was sucking air in through the opening, and some how causing this?

Thanks!

Rod

My car won't stay running with the cap removed. If I take a reading while it's quitting running or right after it's quit will that reading be close enough?

Thanks

Mike

It appears you have a vacuum leak somewhere else or your idle is too low. What year is your baby?

you need the restrictor that's supposed to be in the top breather hose at the filler neck. then it won't die.
