86 Carrera headlights
I have changed the front fenders on my 86 Carrera and I have found that the attaching nut at the bottom of the headlight bucket in the replacement fenders is smaller in diameter than the stock fenders from the car. This means that little funky double screw that is used to attach the 86 headlights won't fit. Is the answer to rebore the welded nut in the headlight bucket to a bigger diameter to fit the original fancy attaching double screw or will any normal long metric screw of the correct diameter work to hold the lights and trim ring in?

I'm somewhat new to the Porsche world, but if I'm not mistaken, the hollow double screw at 6 o'clock is really only needed if you plan to use a second trim ring (painted or chrome). Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
