My garage is my workshop for my car a well... and I am a believer as well that NOTHING should be stored on the floor.

However... I'm curious what the outside view is like from in your garage.
Do you face the neighborhood street? Do you have some privacy to keep your garage door open at all times without anyone seeing what is in it?
Thanks. It's at the back of the property (a tiny Los Angeles plot) -- so it opens onto the driveway, which leads to a gate, which leads to a short driveway that goes to the street. So there's no real exposure when I open the door.

The house was built in 1925 and the driveway is so narrow my wife was scared to use it to park her own car -- which is probably the only reason I got to control the garage in the first place.

Mental note:
Make driveway very narrow at retirement property.....

I’ve been working on mine all week .

Upto now it’s consisted of getting the 73 back on its dolly , and moving it to access all the totes of car parts and fishing tackle that have been trapped behind it for years

Moved half the totes into the overhead storage , and painted one wall white to see how it worked with the new led lamps I bought ...

Nice and bright in there , but now the ceiling looks terrible !!!
I’m currently painting in flat black in the hope it will disappear ...

I just splurged a tidy sum on storage , that is being delivered in the next few days .
Expect a decent update when I have that all installed

Pics are before , wall painted , and new lamps installed .

No matter how big your garage is, you always need a bigger garage. Gear-heads are like fish... they grow and expand to fill their tank!

Going to tile the floor and get a lift next year.

In addition to the German and Swedish flags, I have the Baden-Wurttemberg, Stuttgart, and Texas flags.

Mooty; when will you start allowing tour groups through your garage? I promise we will clean up our drool...

Before - somewhat organized but very cluttered.

After - Paint, TV, Cabinets, two post lift instead of scissor lift. Moved hanging items to storage shed in back yard.

Add AC this summer so now I can work during the hot Houston summer
