Door Sills - What would you do?
Question, see the ugly photo below. Wondering if this part would cover the ugly part?
Pelican Parts - Product Information: 911-551-619-00-M260 THE GOLD PART WITH THE HOLE. Thinking of buying this part for left and right side and painting the silver aluminum piece black. If you have pictures please share. Thank you, ![]() ![]()

Yes, you've got the right idea. The rubber strips are the correct part for this location and have adhesive backing on them--make sure you lay them down correctly the first time.
The black metal strips will never look 100%. I couldn't really find a way to remove all the all the dents and dings, but a good coat of paint really makes an improvment. Go ahead and buy new screws, or you can try and paint your old ones.

I polished up two strips of aluminum from the hardware store and glued them on. and the carpet strip id strip the black paint off and polish them up aswell. bright silver hides dings and scratches alot better than black paint
