Is there something wrong with the rear of my cab?

I have asked this before, but not sure I have ever got closure. I am posting some pics of my 1983 cab. No known wrecks and did not show up on vehicle history either. I have always found it a bit odd the way my rear pax side wheel/tire sit in the wheel well. Almost like it needs a spacer and less neg camber to look right - and yes, no spacer on the other - I actually checked to make sure I did not miss something stupid.;)

Any ideas? (please excuse mess in the garage:D)

Well yer pics suck, and your need to clean the garage.....:D

Have you checked to see if the wheels are the same width? Has it ever been aligned?

PS, use a tripod or take the pics BEFORE drinking or doing bong hits.....:p

you kill me sometimes Mike. Yeah, I suck at pictures.

Wheels should be same width, unless one of my buddies in messing with me.

It could use an alignment, been a little over a year, but not a lot of driving this past year.

Pull the wheels and check the numbers on the inside.....good chance there is a mix up. How do the fronts look? My 83 came with 16x6s and 7s.

You never know, maybe one of the rears is a 951 offsett? The PO coulda whacked one of the wheels and wasn't specific when he bought a replacement.

944/951 wheels are inset more inboard that 911 wheels. The early 911 crowd likes them so they can stuff a bigger tire under the narrow fenders.

Now go clean the garage....

20 years of being biiitched at, I have experience. Since the divorce, I don't miss the noise, just all my stuff....and my house....

On my 914, I had a 3/4 diff on side to side on the rears....common problem with them, I just put a spacer on one side.

+1 on adding a spacer if it bothers you.

I added 1/4" spacer on the passenger rear to optically satisfy me. I had to add longer lug studs.

Take care if you ever have to use the colapsable spare the longer studs will punch thru the lugs.

BTW, I am feeling sea sick looking at those pics ;D
