Recaro motorized seat mechanism repair
I have a 92 Turbo with Recaro motorized adjustable seats. A number of yellowish plastic bushings have become brittle and broken. Now the seats travel a little bit and the jerk is quite noticeable with acceleration and deceleration. I went to my local Porsche dealer and they don't have any parts diagrams of these bushings. They recommend I buy a new seat. Any ideas?
There is a rear bushing for the threaded rod that also acts a seat for the rear of the threaded rod. It is a very odd shape that extends through the opening of the retaining metal support: ![]() And the spacer/bushing residing in the travel mechanism, which is actually a hollow rectangular insert:
