I've got an '84 and trying to decide which way to go. Trip looked awesome! I'll have to meet up with you guys back in the states, I'm in Charlotte.
Thanks bro, we worked hard in the development of our 935 strut-chassis brace. Dont think you'll find anyone else out there making a bolt-in brace like this one. (BTW, the RT heim joint was for transportation purpose of this brace ONLY - i had to fit it in my check baggage to Sicily) The production model just has the left lower joint just like on the 935's for access to the battery (or in our case, the spare tire)

We are always working on building a car and product development and "R+D" in and around the Charlotte and Greensboro area on our test routes, so feel free to let us know when u r gonna be around and we can meet up.

BTW, mray, to answer your other question, i am also running the targa side chassis braces sold on PP. They helped stiffen up things considerably when i put them in

The D-Zug boyz did some amazing R&D and construction on the X-brace. Here is mine mounted in my '69 912/930 replica. www.d-zugprodukte.us

Very easy install. Great driving improvement, tested it on the California Speedway the next day.

Well, after a quick bite at hotel ZB, we got on the road to our one last destination before wrapping up the trip.... snowboarding in st. anton. That is the other great thing about Europe; the ability to have access to so many different geographies and climates due to the fact that u can run at triple digit speeds by car....

We drove late into the night through southern Germany into Austria, hooking up with mostly Audis and BMW's that were 'freight training' it as well. Encountered very few Porsches at speed, although we did do about a 40-50 mile stint at 120+ with a cool guy in a VERY fast 944 turbo. All great fun

St Anton and surrounds

The good stuff. Was a bit wet the day we were there, but as u can tell from Pete's S-E Grin, we still got our spring boarding 'fix'

This is D-Zug...what do you expect when the mischevious characters who formed Fünf Gruppen put their heads together and start a business? We don't know how to only put forth the minimal effort & pussify what should be an awesome expereince...we only know one way to do things...the D-Zug way

No skool like the ol' skool baby!

Gabe, lol, next year we're all gonna be representing

Paul, funny, the ducktail never seems to stay clean, but i just cant seem to bring myself to change the exhaust

Well, all good things eventually come to an end, so after a great day of boarding, we packed up and spent the last day blasting through the Swiss and Italian alps to Genoa where we would take the ferry back to Sicily.

However, before we left St Anton, we had to top up the gear oil, as she has a slow leak coming from one of the front seals. Anyway, we took her to a local shop where the guy that ran the place seemed excited to work on something halfway interesting for a change.

I think the 911 made friends with a cool old 2Cv while there.....

A little more experiencing old austria before setting out. The lack of sleep is catching up....

Of all the countries we passed through, i think i enjoyed driving through Switzerland the most. very courteous but fast drivers and of course perfectly paved, killer mountain roads and countless tunnels in which to savor the wail of the flat 6. More than a few Swiss guys were willing to play with us as we made our way south. A little taste of this last leg of the trip....

Yeah, your are right, f-it Paul, was going to work on leaning her out at top end some, but am worried about bad gas in Greece/eastern europe next summer (running 9.8:1) and besides, have grown used to the just-finished-lemans look.

Swan song

Waiting for ferry from Genoa to Sicily, Pete contemplates the trip and our (mostly) trusty steed...

The 20 hour ferry gave Pete and i plenty of time to sleep and reflect upon the trip. By the time the ferry arrived at Termini Imerese, from which the drive to my place in Caccamo is only about 20 minutes, we were ready to do it all over again!

It was with a heavy heart that we tucked the 911 back into her garage and packed up for the next days flight. However, plans had already been set in motion on the ferry to return soon to set up what promises to allow Porsche enthusiasts the ability to sample some of what we had experienced, both on Sicily and the continent, so stay tuned!

BTW, it was a pleasant surprise to return home to find out that D-Zug Products had been featured in the 'News and Products' section of the spring edition of 'Classic Porsche' Magazine

Thanks for joining us guys. Hope u enjoyed the ride!
