Webers and Zeniths

I have a 1970 porshe 911T 2.2L engine in my 74 vw bus.
It has Zenith carbs and i don't like them.
My question is: will a set of Webers bolt onto the Intake that the the zeniths are bolted onto?
Thanks for your expertise in advance.

the bolt pattern is the same for Zenith, Weber, or PMO. What's wrong with the Zenith, most of the time it is just a jet/rebuild question. Hate to see you spend $$$$ on something that costs $ to fix.

I'm not sur there is anything wrong with the Zenith's.
I cant seem to dial in the mixture and i'm getting some backfiring and a lot of fuel odor from them. (no leaks). I'm also convinced that the mileage could be better and i should be getting more HP. I did a rebuild on the engine so it's not tired.
I have a great situation in that my neighbor races a couple of porsches and has offered to let me try a set webers that he has in his garage.
If they work well i will buy them.
I just don't want to try the webers if i have to buy a new intake set up.
Oh yes. the guy who did the rebuild on my engine also tore down the carbs and used the rebuild kits from this site to freshen them up.
