If I were younger and wanted an interesting Porsche job, I would be there in a flash.
Chuck is a good guy and the business is one to be in. It strikes me there are several opportunities at some of the best-of-the best Porsche businesses. Elephant is one. Nothing is better (emotionally & financially) than joining your passion with your career (enterprise?). Keep in mind every one wants to find a worthy successor for their hard earned business. You young MBA grads and trade mechanics could do far worse. My 2¢ Best, Grady

Chuck,
If you were to branch out into the midwest I would be beating on your door! Santa Clara is too far to commute given todays gas prices. Good luck! I hope you find the right candidate for the job. |

Me too.
Just getting a bit too old to consider, or I'd be there in a flash as well. If you ever open a branch or shop in Portland, Oregon....give me a call. I'd love to do this kind of stuff. ![]()

My father once told me that if you earn money doing your hobby you will never "work" a day in your life.
I have been in the electronics industry for over 40 years...and have been paid for doing my hobby all that time...Chuck's offer is a dream come true for someone that truly loves cars I know the new hire will have a smile on his or her face for a long time. Bob

I have a 18 year old son ready to relocate. Actually, I'm ready for him to locate. He's working on his automotive degree at the local CC. I'll have him take a look.

interesting, i worked at a porsche dealer service dept as a mechanics helper when i graduated from highschool and the head mechanic said to me. if you like cars and working on them, don't take it up as a profession, you'll hate it in the future. he had a few 356s and a speeder at the time. i guess its all prospective. i still love getting my hands dirty but now don't like to surf the net as much.. so maybe he was right. who knows.
