Here is one of those much maligned new Porsche owners that won an award. Sigh, who would even want such a thing?!?!?
(sure does look like he is having fun tho....)

Here are some people who get it, eh? Eric in his cool little 914 high-school ride. The ATS wheels rock!

So...the 910. Sure woke things up in the morning didn't it? I have been trying to weasel a ride in this ever since I shot it for Excellence a few years back. It finally happened yesterday and I suspect that the Oxford Police still have an A.P.B. out for us.

Who would ever believe that a little 2-litre could ever sound so angry and make so much power. BTW, This is the very car that won the under 2 liter class at Le Man in 1969.

There isnt much room inside this car so this was the best I could do (I pray that nobody has a pic of me trying to climb in!)

Scary fast!

First official event for the new drivetrain and brakes on my long-hood. Everything worked perfectly. I am one happy camper, even without a brick.

Cornpanzer, I absolutely love the clean hotrod look of your car, plus it sounds great! Really got me thinking about my next car, should probably keep this one a little longer to keep the wife happy though.

Thanks for all the pics guys, reminds me of all the cars I did enjoy seeing.

Great story on this car, pulled from a burning garage and still saved the orginal paint. Beautiful Glacier Blue color unfortunately didn't capture very well on my little p&s.

I loved this car too, even though I know its over the top for some.

Cornpanzer - nice score on the 910 ride! I didn't realize this was your car when I saw it in the swap area ... couldn't resist the pic with all the 356 jugs sitting next to it.

Oxford is only a half hour drive for me and I've attended the last several years. This year is the first time I brought my car, hardly show worthy, but it cleaned up well. Saw some beautiful examples, especially the grey long hood (Stella?), but a lack of really unique older cars and race cars as in years past. My 4 yo daughter enjoyed but the heat got to year and we left early afternoon. I'm not much of a car show guy. It was Ok, but if there was an autocross scheduled that day, that's where I'd be.

Well...third year and I finally got a brick. I had to pry it up from the road before I left but I have one none the less. Actually, as much as I would like a brick it really doesn't matter. First and foremost P2O is a party with other folks that like Porsches. Beyond that, you get to walk around and see (and hear) sweet cars. Somewhere down the line there are awards that are handed out. I think they went with bricks to discourage participants from getting too serious. Sure, I may have noticed the 30 day tags on the new Speedster but it's nothing to get salty over (in fact I was happy to get to see one).

Besides...it was dry this year...woohoo...we all won!!!

Dave, I didn't realize you had entered your car (I thought you were parting it out over there). I kid...your car is awesome. I'd love to get a ride in it sometime.

Ok, pics of my car.

All four directions from the corner of Main and High.

Other interesting pictures.
