G50 body side thread repairs

Has anyone had to re-engineer a fix for abused body side threads yet? Our racer is in need of a repair after this season. The two steel, threaded mounting holes are shot, from many engine and gearbox swaps over the years. We were thinking of an insert? Has anyone tried and had success with a repair here?

interested in all ideas..

Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by body side threads...... but helicoils are the way to go with nearly any thread repair.

Body side is the actual threads on the chasis, I know, kinda a mis-wording on my part.. We have a Heli Kit in house and plan on a repair once the season wraps up in October.. Thanks!

It would be wise to double check the thread pitch BEFORE you install the repair.... ask me how I know.
