I was in Cali last summer and was blown away at all the P cars on the road.We did the PCH trip form San Fran down to San Diego and I saw so many that I figured 90% of Porsche cars in the USA are in Ca.I live in Fl and its just to hot here for the older cars,I have no A/C but I still drive mine at least 4 times a week.

I drive mine as much as i possbly can, I'm kind of picky about where I park though so that limits me a little, but I'd say 3 times a week for sure. Never really see any other old 911's on the road though.

This is why informal get togethers like Jeremy's Brooklyn Dine and Drive are so great. I long to see more of our cars out there on a daily basis but also relish not seeing them everywhere all the time. It's also fun to see the smiles of like minded individuals when you drive past them and you can read their lips saying, "look honey, a 911!"

Nice RHD ride. Don't see many of them here. You in Cow town?

I've seen a white cab, a red cab, and a yellow LH Targa. The LH was in a parking lot outside a restaraunt I was at for lunch on the patio. I was cringing as the owner kept grinding trying to get it into reverse!
I saw a white coupe and a silver turbo when I was in Denver for a weekend.

Saw an old brown long hood N/B I-5 near Seattle last week....It looked tired, but he was hustling right along in the fast lane....
See many at Porsche functions in Seattle area, but hardly ever just driving around town...

I see quite a few in the city of Atlanta where I live. Lots of 3.2's running around daily.

Quick story. The PO of my '83 is a friend of mine. I met him when I transferred jobs at a company we both worked for. I remember the first day I saw it when he drove it to the office. My jaw sripped. Our mutual affection for Porsches was our common bond. Once we became friends I told him if he EVER wanted to sell the car, I wanted first right of refusal. Fast forward 10 years. I was in a hotel room on a business trip earlier this year and I got an email from him saying the car just went up on Craigslist but it's mine if I'm serious about first right of refusal. Obviously I was serious. ![]() When I got back in town I went over to get the car and he and his wife were bleary-eyed. People from Germany had been calling ALL NIGHT wanting to buy the car and they couldn't get any sleep. Others offered more than the asking price. Had it not been because of our friendship (and the fact he gets visitation rights) I'm certain this one would've been back in Germany. So, yes. It is sad that these great cars aren't staying in this country. |

Here in Oklahoma, I usually have the oldest car out (1968 912). This picture was taken in Arkansas on a 850 mile weekend trip in June. This trip also included another car you don't see in Oklahoma much, a Carrera GT.

My neighbor has a 80-something SC or Carrera (?) that I've seen two or three times in the three-and-a-half years I've lived here--but not this year. Earlier this month during a 2,400 mile drive to bring my car from NY to Utah I saw an impact bumper cabrio going east on I-80 and nearly caught up to a 914 before it took an off ramp and that was it for any Porsches (okay there were a couple Cayennes along the way but those don't count for this thread).
