911SC rally light fitment

Howdy,

Has anyone mounted the Cibie replica hood lights our host sells (PEL-CIB-REP) on the front fenders in front of the headlights for a short hood (911SC)? If so, I realize there will be some obstruction of the headlight beam but if this is done, will there be interference when opening the front hood? Here are some pics of what I'm after and the patient .

Thanks,
Ed

It is tight, but it works. You have to be really careful with measuring where you will drill the holes as there is about 1/4" at best , space between the lamps and the lid.
Also you will have to trim the reinforcing backing plate to compensate for the curvature of the headlamp bucket area

The lamps have identical dimensions to the originals, so there is no worries there

Thanks for the quick response TRE Cup (Dave),

Coming from a highly regarded shop, this is good to hear and what to watch out for!

I figured since the hood & fender contours are the same that these would fit that small surface area with a little massaging but it's hard to tell if you don't have the part in your hands to test fit and rely on a visual.

I'll take a chance and order from our host !

Thanks,
Ed
