Since it is your first oil change, and since, as others here have mentioned, a lot of oil comes out really quickly, I would advise that you grab yourself a large cardboard box and tear it down. Place it on the ground under your drain pan. Have a few shop rags around just in case. After a few oil changes you won't need the cardboard anymore. You can search " oil change mess floor" and read a whole bunch of stories that will have you laughing for a while regarding this very topic. It's a right of passage. Good luck

Just wanted to let you guys know that I did the oil change today! Everything went smooth, thanks for all the tips! And man, you were not kidding about how fast the oil comes out, and man it is a lot!
Anyway, I also went with Royal Purple HPS 20W-50, has anyone looked at this new product yet? Looks promising, so I gave it a shot! Royal Purple Motor Oil Thanks! Rod

Ha, I think I will let my mechanic handle that! (Valve Adjustment)
But my next project might be new magnecore wires! I am a little nervous about it, as it seems the wires are on really tight, and I am afraid once I take them off, getting them back on could be tough? The car is running great, but the wires are starting to look a bit ragged! Thanks! Rod
