I can't believe it but I just lost a chain guide!! I was replacing it and it slid down along the chain into the abyss. It was the lower left one. Am I going to have to crack open my 3.0?? The engine is still in the car. I can't believe Porsche would make it so tough to put these things in!! Can someone please help!!

I had a broken chain ramp on my 83. The remains were in the oil screen. Pull the sump screen and fish it out.

Let's hope it isn't a 'new' crankcase with only the drain plug ... and no removeable screen and plate!

Wow I go eat dinner and you guys bail me out!!! Awesome!! Its the original 83 3.0 and yes it has a seperate cover that I can remove. Whoo hoo off to work thanks again I hope its down there!!

Loop a piece of fishing line on the ramp until you get it in position.
