Aren't you going to be on Top Gear (History Channel) next Tuesday? Looking forward to the show and I will be watching.

Yet, it's pretty rare that Magnus responds in any way except to post more pictures of his latest find or film or what he's been doing.

Kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

If I want an old cool 911 with unique personal touches, I think building my own has more integrity than just buying one ....but thats me.
Same impression I got.

Maybe you guys should read from the beginning than. ;-) "Everybody" can't be wrong can they!?

Start your building thread, we can all inspire each other, cause we all love Porsche's.

Exactly. Since I started reading this thread I have been inspired to start working on my sorry old 911SC again. That has benefitted our host, NH Speedo, a couple board members I've bought parts from, and me because I'm having fun. Magnus is human, and is not perfect. I think he's done some pretty cool things with his cars though, and I love his enthusiasm for Porsche.

Mi Magnus, do you have the contact info for Marty Mehterian? I need some 915 work done.

Also, I live in LA. I'm sure you get this a lot, but I'd love to tear up some asphalt with you some day.

Don't you all understand this is showbiz? If he responds to everyone who makes a post he would never have time to work on his cars. So he gives the people what they want, more pictures and more posts of him driving the streets of L.A. in a Porsche. I like the fact that he is aloof, something I never get to enjoy and I think it kinda makes him look cooler as well. But what do I know I'm in politics. A good friend of mine once told me "you have to be stupid or a fool to get into politics". He is right, but recently one of my sheriffs told me he believes you have to be a little bit of both.

The guy makes nice cars because he can...can't short him for that.
The butt kissers that suck up like there is no tomorrow drive me nuts though.

LOL So true, many arse lickers maybe hoping to get in on the celebrity train.

Can't fault the cars nor Magnus for who he is, respect for just being himself.

This thread went downhill fast.

When they're his personal style touches I don't think he's in a hurry to make it tribal knowledge. Any good body guy should be able to plop something similar in for you... making a cola is fine but don't expect Coke ® to share their recipe openly.

[QUOTE=Lapkritis;7669535]This thread went downhill fast.

Lap hit the nail on the head here. I googled Louvre and came up with an los Angeles company who will make a panel that's welded into ur current decklid. Spoke with owner who's emailing me a design he did for someone else and ill post it when I get it as well as his contact info.
I posted 3 times asking magnus for info hoping he would share his knowledge on lid vents but got no answers so just googled it. There's no patent on it cause it was done by Porsche before.

Understand the frustration but pretty confident if you start you own post in the tech forum you will get the info you want from the forum members.

louvers are pretty common in the hot rod community. If you ask some body guys, you'll find somebody local.
