Thanks again everyone.

So here are my over the winter projects --->

1. Send the speedo out to get refaced/recal. to read 160 to N. Hollywood Speedo
2. Clutch cable is a little stretched. Going to replace with new, new omega spring, new pedal spring and all new bushings in the pedal assembly (one of those while you're in there moments)
3. Upgrade the A/C to the R134a. Still deciding what I want to do there and how much I want to wrap up in this.

So the fiance and I are getting ready for a road trip this weekend to western Pa. It will be the first long trip for the 911. It's homecoming at the college I received my undergraduate degree from. 5-6 hour drive out across PA Interstate 80.

I have gone over the car this week.
- Changed the oil (since the car was sitting for 16 years I only wanted to do a 1000 mile break in with the oil that was in it)
- Fluids checked (oil and brake fluid - that was easy)
- Tire pressure checked
- Brakes checked
- Fuses and electronics checked
- Tool kit prepped (extra new belts packed)
- Jack replace with a small scissors jack
- Tire pump and Extra quart of oil for the road
- Cleaned/Washed/Waxed

I say we are ready to go!

Our trip to Hershey PA. was the longest (in one shot) trip we've done so far.
Car ran like a top. I'm sure yours will too.

This is one of the best threads I have ever read, on any subject....Congratulations on the engagement, on the car and on your successful fight with cancer. You are a lucky guy in all three respects.

Your car is beautiful and I learned a lot just reading through your entire restoration experience. I might have to drive down to the annual Hershey event just to meet you and shake your hand.
