Flintworks in Campbell. Honest, Porsche trained, reasonable, easy to get along with. You won't be disappointed.

Don Wise's Autoworks in Campbell. I have been going to Don since '88 and have been quite happy with him and his staff.

European auto repair inc in Alameda

Talk to Albert - I was going to have him do a PPI for me, but trusted my own inspection in the interest of time. I spent probably half an hour on the phone with him getting all manner of great insight.

"in or around"?

campbell is a good haul from downtown SF. care to be more specific in location? moving about the bay area can be a chore.

Second Flintworks. Alden is honest, reasonable, and practical. The third quality is even harder than the first.SmileWavy

Pacific Motors on 10th street in San Francisco. 415-861-1013. If you are looking for a quality shop in S.F. Ask for Harry.

After Rennsport, I was in SF and was directed to The Stable on Pine St. to inspect a suspicious drivetrain noise. Ask for George. Good guy.

It might be a ways out, but I had the PPI for my '89 targa done at S-Car-Go in Marin. Very thorough.

Tom Amon of Mobile Works West is knowledgable, fair, and can come to you to perform a PPI.

I used George at the Stable in SF years ago with good results.

I have also used CT in Campbell with good results.

I haven't heard a bad thing about any of the aces mentioned and don't think you would go wrong using anyone of them. It all comes down to how close it is to the car you are looking at.

+1 for Tom Amon. He knows his stuff and is reasonably priced.
