Painting Engine Shroud
Anyone out there successfully painted their engine shroud(meaning it lasts). I don't know how paint takes to fiberglass, and if so which paint to use........no idea. I can't stand the orange color and have seen several painted ones on the posts here. Thanks Steve 81'sc

I simply painted mine (bright yellow, like the car) with a high-quality, high-temp paint spraycan. It's sort of a grotty piece anyway, but the paint seems to be holding up fine. I like a clean engine, but I do have regular dinner plates to eat off...

I first tried to clean mine thoroughly, including by sanding it and polishing it. It came close, but not as good as I wanted. So I simply repainted it (stock color) with high temp paint.
Holding up great. Like any paint job, its in the prep. |
