This is the console from BetterBodies, not a 993 console. It is made to look similar to the 993 console but will fit the earlier cars. You have to raise the tunnel in an older car to use the 993 part.

Thanks much.

So to take a 993 part you have to raise the tunnel to make it fit, but with the BB unit its a bolt in? Is an 1985 model considered an older car or do you mean anything older than a 993?

Any idea on the price? BB does not even show consoles on their site, only door panels...

I think 964s were the first to have the raised tunnel, probably to support the awd. I paid about $500 a few years ago.

does anyone know if betterbodies still produces those consoles today?

I stopped reading when I read Better Bodies. They sell ****ty products and services suck.

I bought a tail for one of my 911 years ago and it was shipped broken. I had to pay to ship it back and I got charged a restocking fee.
