anyone color match engine tins
in the process of painting my car, light blue metallic, and wondering if anyone has ever color matched their engine tins,...
i would paint the tops blue, and undercoat the bottoms black... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1327634284.jpg |
I thought you wanted to leave this car a "driver"? lol

Looking good!
Yes, seen it done. It can look good. Just remember "less is more" -- don't color match every little bracket... Besides, not much risk -- if you don't like it, it's just paint and easy to strip and re-do. Build it your way. |

Not yet, this weekend. My engine bay isn't color matched, it's silver. However, I have a foil style sound pad so it *seems* like it's even more red...

that looks like the engine shroud, i am talking more about the tins around the engine that seal it to the car.

I'm pretty sure you would not want the rearmost section in fiberglass for a turbo - I think the heat would make a mess of that in no time (maybe not?) - anyone tried it?

1. trying not to spend money on things that are not "needed" 2. worried about heat from turbo, as already mentioned |
