VDO Porsche Part#'s
Any way to determine by the part #'s found on the inside of the gauges if they are the correct one's for my car? I've searched this forum and can't (or haven't) find the info.These are what I removed from our '68 912 Targa today;
Speedo (in KM/H) - 911.641.503.00 Tach - 902.741.302.02. 0008 Fuel - 901.741.502.06 Temp - 901.741.501.04 Clock - 901.741.702.02 |

Especially if you're mixing and matching parts from different years (or trying to avoid that, as you appear to be doing). Quote:
911.641.530.00 would be correct for a 300KM/H speedo (for /50 tire). Quote:

PET says correct for 68-. PET also says "trim frame chrome -67" and "trim frame black 68-" - the -67 instruments have smaller supercession numbers.. If the tach reads correctly, i wouldn't be greatly concerned by PET saying it was supposed to be a different #. It's not infallible.

Wow, thanks for checking into this, thank you! I will show my ignorance here, but what is/where is PET? I'm learning here and I appreciate the lessons.

I missed that you had a 912. In which case the part # on the tach is correct, sorry.
