Just some FYI........... Toy-jet " the high bidder" was probably on the level. He is a V8 guy that drives a supercharged LS1 converted 911

http://www.toy-jet.ls1fun.com/photo.html

I would imagine that he was interested in the deck lid because he puts his cooling system (radiator) in the custom tail. I beleive that he is working on a GT2 style tail because it would look better.

go after the seller.

heres the thing did he ship to a verified address? anyway it seems there is no way you can help from getting ripped off these days, i got ripped off to, never buy anything unless you are the high bidder because theres really nothing you can do if your not the auction winner, anyway i think you should post his actual name so those of us that may know him can just osticate him, Kevin

It situations like that. You can have the seller set up a private auction just for you and relist the item, so you can get some kind of eBay protection

The jerks name is Jan Wise he lives in Thousand Oaks California. He has had the deck lid for over 3 weeks and he has not refunded me. I am a stubborn man and out of principal I am going to sue him. I don't care how much lawers fees I have to pay, I am going to destroy him. The main reason why is because I believe he is guilty of shill bidding and that he did not reply to my e mails. He just blocked my e mails and tried to ignore me. The phone number that he has registered on e bay just rings and no one has ever answered. I did buy this off of paintwise the seller and toyjet never came in contact with the lid.

My 2c worth.

I would NEVER buy *anything* - sight unseen from anybody - your inviting and asking for trouble.

The fact that you bid for something you haven’t even seen is a CRAZY.

That's the basic problem with services like EBAY. You take all the risk and they get their commission regardless of the outcome!

Sorry this incident happened. I am in the buisness of selling rear decklid radiator systems and at the time I needed a deck lid ASAP.
I found one locally then offered the one in question back to the next highest bidder. I had no idea the seller would rip you off. Do not let that one incident get the best of you. Lets keep striving to keep Ebay an honest place to buy and sell.

Again I apologize.

Maybe you should approach your bank, if memory serves me correctly, I believe you have 60 days to reverse a consumer ach transaction. I am not really a banker but it has been my lifelong dream...

Jeff, I completely understand your anger at this guy, and your desire to "destroy" him. However, don't let the anger get in the way of better judgment. If you insist on suing hiim, save yourself the attorney fees and do it in small claims court. You would have almost no chance of being awarded the cost of your legal complaint. However, both my dad and I have had a lot of experience suing others in small claims, and I can tell you that even if you win, there is about a 1 in 10 chance in collecting anything, and even if you do, it will take a tremendous amount of time and effort. You should take your loss and chock it up to lesson learned - never trust anybody you don't know.

Ebay

And Iīm still waiting for the seats I bought on German Ebay on Jan 29th. I`ve received a couple of mails from the seller with promises of delivery next, but still no seats. Stupid as I was I paid the seller directly.
