STOLEN Porsche 356A!

Please help.

Help us to find STOLEN Porsche 356A!

Help us finding Thorkil Simonsen’s 1956 Porsche 356 A. This beautiful and prizewinning old car was stolen between August 10th and 11th 2012. It was taken from the parking lot at Berghotel Hohe-Acht close to the german Nürburgring.

Thorkil has owned the car since 1970, and desperately wants it back, which is why he offers a 15.000,- Euro reward for information, that can lead him directly to the car. The car is hopefully still in Germany or somewhere in Europe.

The car has got these characteristics:

Black Danish plate (H12 356), special wheels with center nuts, center mounted Sebring muffler, Speedster seats and Les Lestun wooden steering wheel.

You can call Thorkil at +45 40721284 or mail simonsen-356@c.dk. Let us help him getting the old Porsche back in the garage again — share these pictures!

Best regards

PORSCHE CLASSIC CLUB DANMARK

Okay I´ll keep an eye out up here. Big event coming up in Hamburg in 3 weeks, maybe they will be stupid enough to try and sell it. In the meantime I´ve posted this link on one of Germanys biggest forums

Those are called Rudge wheels, I believe and a VIN# would help.

Thanks for your help.

I talked to the car owner (Thorkild) today and he was completely crushed.

He was at Nürnberg ring for a classic event and put the car in his closed trailer on Friday night and Saturday morning it was gone.

That same night there was stolen another 2 356 who also had to have attended the event on Saturday.

Thorkild contacted the German police who were very serious and they contacted Interpol.

Thorkild is a highly well-respected man here in Denmark about Porsche. He owns a small company that sells everything to 356 bodywork in metal of very high quality.

He bought the car for himself in 1970 and has renovated it into a fantastic condition.

Any information about the location of the car is appreciated.

I will talk to him about VIN and get back.

I have posted it on Porsche Owners Club Germany:
Porsche Owners Club Germany - Thema anzeigen - 356A geklaut Bitte Ausschau halten!!
It's a copy/paste of twistoffat's ad because my german isn't that good. Hope he's ok with that.
I really hope Thorkild gets he car back.
I have seen the car some years back and know how much he loves his car.

My thought too.

And professionals with a couple of days head start? I wouldn't hold out much hope of seeing the cars intact ever again.

Sorry about the cars, guys.

A terrible situation for the poor guy , and I hope he gets it back ASAP.
Makes me wonder whether I should buy one of those tracking devices?

What a gorgeous car.

I do hope you find it.

Spread the word in as many forums as possible, especially ones that might be based near Simonsen's country and, even better, town.

On the plus side no one's been hurt.

Maybe a mod can sticky this. Get the word out.

Take care!
