Classic Retrofit - Electric A/C Group Buy

Anyone interested in doing a full kit group buy? I know one other person outside of Pelican, so that makes two. Probably need to get to 10 people.

I am a satisfied customer of the Classic Retrofit Electrocooler, 175 amp alternator and the boxer windshield washer relocation kit. Johnny was a great help in supporting any questions I had during the assembly and install of the three items. It should be noted, that there are other costs besides buying the kits and shipping. I paid a credit card exchange rate fee ~$150, FedEx customs declaration fee ~$150, a used boxer washer bottle on eBay ~$45 and miscellaneous piece parts and charging the system at an AC shop ~$200. I estimate that my total out of pocket cost to be near $6,000. Was it worth it to me, Heck YES, being able to drive in an ac cooled car in Florida was worth every penny and dumping the weight of old ac system was an added bonus. Depending on your model year you could go with a half system or without the upgraded alternator or the washer bottle to save $$$$. In my own case, I wanted a complete overhaul and update to the ac system and the alternator. I also did not want to delete the windshield washer system without upgrading it. If you are interested I posted a thread on my upgrade. Just do a search for Electrocooler. The installation can be challenging because each model car has its own issues that need to be thought out and implemented. There are several different ways the system can be installed and the way the Freon lines can be routed.

Yes we had one had year. There was lots of interests and managed to get 5% off for 10 pelicans! I didn't buy despite organizing but id buy this time around.

Some useful items help the organizer and classic retrofit for this endeavor. Discount is for the full kits only and extra condenser if applicable as well as the high output alternator. Jonny will need emails eventually of those committed to buying if it comes down to it so he can issue discount codes. Include the year/model/lhd or rhd of car as well along with mailing address if each person. Good luck!

Ha given the conversion rate from the last group buy, I suspect we will need 15 commitments to equate to 10 serious buyers. But I'm optimistic. It's a damn good deal. With the alternator, price drops from $5,200 to $4,680. that's a healthy discount.

Yes that's the one. Though I believe the 10% will apply to your entire purchase (ie you decide to add an alternator or an extra condenser, though Im not 100% on that part)
