Oil level/oil pressure/gauge question - seem too high?

haven't driven my '87 for a few weeks, but it has a fresh oil change... at warm idle, the reading on the dipstick is probably 3/4 to 7/8 to the upper level - between double dots. while driving, i'll show '4' or a bit above on pressure, but still 1/2 gauge on oil level gauge. running, sitting idle (red lights, etc.), i'll see 2-3 on pressure gauge and a very high reading on oil level - see pic. 2nd pic is at speed - 4 on pressure gauge and above mid-range on level.

i would think it was possibly overfilled, but the reading on the dipstick is within range and i did the oil change, so i know it's not way off.

thoughts? seem odd to anyone?

The oil temperature in both pictures is too low to give an accurate oil level reading (especially the 2nd pic). On my car (1987 Turbo), the oil temp pointer must be above the 2nd hash mark on the gauge (in other words, above 200 degrees), for the oil level to be measured accurately by either the gauge or the dip stick (both thermostats fully open at that point). By the way, the gauge and dip stick give equal readings for me.

checked at lunchtime under that exact circumstance. i'm trusting the stick, but i was curious about the oil level gauge reading. i haven't driven the car all that much since i've had it, but i don't remember that type of reading previously.
