Wow Chris! You have done it again!
I had not seen the updates and final pictures until just now. Color is awesome, but I am a sucker for anything close to Porsche Olive Green. I like how much it seems to vary in the different lighting - very cool. Interior is great as well. Well done man. |

Dunno how I missed this thread. Astounding work. I particularly like how civilized the car appears. I hesitate to call it a sleeper, because it was one of the fastest cars of the era, but it is extraordinarily refreshing to see a car with this kind of power keep it under wraps. I'm also partial to daily-driver-style builds, as that is what I'm chasing with my own car.
Not original—classy, capable, comfortable. Quote:

I don't know how I missed this either. This car (and all your other builds) is totally awesome. I think my favorite part is that monster motor with all the plumbing and intercoolers behind the stock decklid. Too cool!
You should do some 60-130mph runs when the weather is better and post the results. Just based on power/weight, I think you'll be somewhere in hypercar territory if it hooks. |
Damn, Chris. Just...damn!!!
|
Chris,
Awesome car! Would you pretty please post the part number for the window winder spring post ? Best Scott |
Scott, Pelican sells them. Just search for "window regulator pivot". I think there are four varieties so you need to know which one your car has. Easy to measure once you know what you are looking at.

Finally got a clearing in the weather so we could prime and paint the splitter. It's strange to look under an old 911 and see a modern looking belly pan!

As an engineer, fabricator, and fellow builder, my hat's off to you, Chris. Extremely well planned and executed. Indeed, this is what separates the men from the boys. Man, I hope it works!
As someone else asked, if this works and you decide to "productize" it, LET US KNOW! Cheers! |
Thank you for all the comments and compliments! We are working on some options to reproduce the front valence.
Finally got the muffler valence back from getting ceramic coating. I really think this visually finishes the rear of the car and hides all the turbo parts. It also doubles as my heat shield behind the license panel. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1487744585.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1487744585.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1487744585.JPG |
Beautifully discreet and well integrated.

Great chatting with you last night Rick! Keep me posted on the progress with the transmission...I'm always curious how hear problems are solved.
