I keep debating this, it's kind of a time capsule of the mid eighties (when it was stored). Has low miles but doesn't have any engine updates so a rebuild is in the future. Interior is red with black and very good, it was covered. Unfortunately it sat with nearly a full tank of gas which turned to a solid and a stinky car.

absolutely awesome! Do not change the color! Please lol. Sell it buy a 911 in the color that you want. Gazelle gold is the same color that was used on gold fuchs of the same era. Did I say I loved it?

![]() Just a reminder to those with a 74-75 911 of any model, USA or RoW, Carrera or not. The original Fuel Lines through the Tunnel MUST be replaced. They are a catastrophe waiting to happen. For info do a Pelican search for "74 911 Fuel" and you will find all you need to know. These wonderful cars must be kept on the road for generations to come. Len

^^^ Christopher^^
I hope you and any other owners of 1973-1977 Carreras will send their cars info and personal contact info to the PCA registry. There is also a FB group that is a "members only" group. Merry Christmas everyone |

Update on this effort
Everyone,
Well, I can't believe it has been 23 years since I first posted this thread. Quite a bit has happened in that time. Long story short, I raised two sons and am still married! I also acquired a couple more 74 Carreras.Over the years, we have always monitored this thread. Using several sources including this thread, ads, other sites, and finally the classified ads in PCA's Panorama magazine my son and I have compiled a list of the U.S. Carreras from 74 & 75. Recently, we reached out to PCA's 70's Carreras registry representative and explained our efforts to date. As of now, we have info on 245 of 526 74 Coupes, 79 of 246 74 Targas, 65 of 395 75 Coupes, and 39 of 196 75 Targas. I am currently reviewing the classifieds in Panorama and am up through 7/82. We're hoping our efforts can be utilized to see some of the history of our cars, develop a system of a registry where all the info can be housed, and at some point plan an event. We have been primarily focused on U.S. Carreras of 74/75. User Speedster911 is PCA's 70's Carrera's registry representative and he has explained that he is working with others so we can eventually have a registry of all 70s Carreras including U.S./ROW. I am NOT retired, but I do have more time to put into this effort, so we thought it was time to let everyone know what we are doing. I am looking forward to more time spent on my passion for old Porsches

Hey all,
So glad I found this thread! My Carrera's particulars: 1974 Carrera #194 (10/1973 build date) Grand Prix white 930/10 ROW engine installed by dealer in 1985 (sent by Olaf Lang at Porsche Germany to his dad, Paul Lang, service manager at Anderson-Behel in Santa Clara, CA). I've owned this car for 25 years and have no plans to EVER sell it. After a long nap, it just went through a pretty extensive mechanical and suspension refresh. As I write this, I'm waiting on new door panels (typical 1980s bad aftermarket speaker install), pockets, and full carpet kit from Wouter at Lakewell—should be here next week! Can't wait to get everything installed. Next on the list, a new "classic" Blaupunkt Hamburg radio (hooked up only to the dash speaker), some typical rust repair, and a full detail. Gotta say, I love this car even more than my 2003 Turbo with the X50 package. It's just more...special. Happy to be part of such an incredible group. |
