Absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact I would rather drive the darn thing than working on it!

Moved my new used window trim to the basement to await strip, blast and re-anodizing. Also took delivery of a new headliner from our host that will be dropped at the paint shop shortly.
Also been here looking for more places to spend money. Cannot wait to see the finished product in April!!!

Installed Rubber Window bumpers

after reading the other post on while the door is open...my door had been rattling.

Fashioned rubber bumpers from hand sanding pad by cutting off the two ears and then cutting them down so that they fit neatly in the bottom door channel. Super cheap and super effective.

Car now up on ramps in the rear and jack-stands in the front.
Front calipers, front condenser and everything around it removed.
Getting ready to drop steering rack, brakes, and suspensions for an overhaul.

Installed a new door lock inside the door on my 911. Had to take the window frame out to get to the lock. Was a really fiddly job. I installed it at least 4 times to get the strap bolt right [RS interiors] and the lock mechanism right.

Also the new lock was a bit tweaked so I had to bend the lever that the out door handle pushes in. Also the corner of the frame was not 90 degrees so I had to put the lock in a vise and fix that too.

With all that hand fitting it finally worked well.

I am glad I have RS door panels.......makes things simpler and easier.

Removed the SAI (secondary air injection) system and plugged the injection ports
Removed the non-functioning cruise control unit from the engine (wouldn't use it anyway)
Cleaned the ISV (idle stabilization valve)
Readjusted the throttle cable

Next project:
Replacing the ridiculously large heater blower motor with the much simplified RS heater duct

Got my car up on jack stands for the first time...pretty lame compared to all your great projects, but feeling great. Used the torsion bars and covers for points. Jack/stands from the sponsor worked great.

Now I can see all the things that need work. I see oil lines weeping at the cooler and oil tank, oil weeping at the crankcase, I think brake fluid is leaking at the left rear brake (fluid is on the wheel and tire), and that the PO must have had a gravel driveway because there is gravel stuck everywhere fore and aft of the wheels.

I also notice that a right oil line on the right front near the jack point is partially crushed. Not good.

1. Valve Adjustment that was 30K overdue. all valves were off spec and 4 were stuck shut.

2. Cleaned the sump screen. havent done that in over 60k. only oil and filter change.
nothing alarming from the screen. oil was pretty clean.

3. Changed oil grade from 10w/40 to 15w/50 Mobile 1.
Read that 15w/50 has higher content of Zinc and Phosporous

Front suspensions and brakes out of the car and mostly disassembled.

More progress was made since I took the picture this afternoon but I ran out of daylight.
Issue with the calipers: 1 piston stuck in each...
Next I'll try the grease gun trick

I found the official color plate in the frunk
