If I remember from the book, the original turbo 917's were tested in marine blue, but they were too fast - and Porsche Motorsport had serious concerns that it would have been banned before the end of their racing season. The hue was dialed up to a Gulf Blue in order to keep the car from being too fast.

Navy Blue "Paint to Sample" Carrera

here's our "paint to sample" 1984 Carrera coupe
It is original paint Mercedes DB904 with a cork full leather interior
A very deep inky blue... a bit richer than Dunkel Blau (dark blue) I think

Stunning paintwork, the colour really suits the car with the cork interior.

Did you redo all the black exterior window trim and exterior door handles? If so did you paint, powder coat or anodise them?
