I'm in SGV and I have taken my 911SC to TRE and they did a great job. It was a bit far for me. One new place in SGV that I like is StuttCar on Walnut Street in Pasadena. Peter Fazekas fixed an idle problem I had gratis.

Looking for a Porsche shop near Santa Barbara, for a PPI on a 944 S2. Not familiar with the area so I'm not sure which of the shops mentioned in this thread are closest...

TIA

Read the History, I did not seek out PS Racing. Doug is a very good con man; I will give that to him. Just read how Doug got the business from Porscha Sports. Remember back 10+ years ago the plain old 73 911 P cars were not worth $30,000 like they are now. Do the math, the value of the non-running vehicle vs. the $$ & time off work to get lawyers & police to extract the vehicle were not there. If you find someone that actually got paid for their judgment against PS Racing (or MM), please let me know. Holding pattern was an option at the time because “life is what happens to you while you are making other plans”. No, I was not the only person stuck in a bad situation with PS Racing for many years. Just Google PS Racing if you think that this is some sort of bashing or personal grudge.

Your probing to satisfy your personal curiosity was not prosed in a malicious manner; however, it was just better suited for PM. Just like the MM threads listed here on Pelican are only a small fraction of the actual victims because the victims are so afraid to be judged in the public forum. I am one of the few brave souls with thick enough skin to expose the cons in the public forum to help other people avoid similar misery and loss.

Boy, I just came across this old thread. After reading this trend it brought back BAD memories about Porscha Sports mentioned above. I purchased a used 3.0 with the agreement that they would "adjust " the valves as part of the purchase price. Upon picking up the 3.0, I looked at the valve cover and related parts...it had all sorts of dirt on it. I asked if they adjusted the valves as agreed. The response was yes, I asked how is it that the valve cover and nuts all have gunk on them and they look as though no socket has been used on them. ..he got upset as I caught him in a lie! If PS has the same mgt...run away!

A lot of the POC ,PCA VARA racers use Aase Brothers in Fullerton or Vision in Lake Forest
Aase tranny and Vision motor, lots of those combos will be @ CFOS.
I sure hope Dwayne's latest creation will be there!!!

Shop in LA

Went to PS Racing yesterday for my 964 rebuild. seems very knowledgable but shop is in very disorganized status. Lots of bit and pieces and projects lying around. Tons of car upfront that seems been there for a long time. Any recent updates on this shop.

Also hoping to visit Stutgart services in Pasadena. I heard good things. Any comment on this shop. Husband and Wife team. https://stuttcarservice.com/

When TRE was moving shops I had PS Racing change the radiator tank on my Boxster. 7 months later it needed to be replaced again, he wouldn’t give me a break. Wanted full price upfront again.

Overall a bad experience. My $$$ is on TRE and Tyson.

I just got my 87 coupe back from Tyson & Brad at Pro Motorsports in Burbank.

A build that I solely took on for the last 12months. Tyson saved my motor from an oversite I made when pulling the wrong drain plug. He and I chatted about my low oil pressure and within minutes he had my car up on the lift and save my bacon.

They also just fully corner aligned my car, welded on ER sway bar mounts and gave the car a full look over.

They build race cars and street cars, its a smaller shop, but I wouldn't hesitate to take my car or any future build there.

Going to have them fully redo my AC system this winter.

Run from PS Racing. Can't go wrong with Tyson and Brad at Promotor Sports
